So I made it out finally to The Ranch Roadhouse for the very first time. It was long day for me but last minute I decided to go out. Amazingly as for as long as the Ranch has now been open I had not had the chance to make it out to that bar and I'm glad to say I wasn't disappointed.
I arrived at the Ranch at around 7:45 PM which of course made it really easy to get in. This also gave me a chance to properly check out the bar and chat with a few staff members to get a feel for this place. I hadn't been in that building for a long time since before it was transformed into the Ranch. For those of you who haven't been in the bar yet the layout is pretty simple but very effective. There is a nice large dance floor right in the middle of the club with very well sized bars on 3 sides of the floor and the DJ booth on the 4th side. There is also what appears to be a seperate room and lounge behind the DJ booth but unfortnately there was a private party going on in there at the time so I didn't get to check it out. Overall the look of the bar is very nice and I'm pleased with what I saw.
The staff that I talked to were all very friendly and pleasant, all willing to chat a little bit. It just so happened that this evening was also the last night for one bartender and the first night for another so I would like to just say, nice to meet you Rebecca, good luck/safe trip and welcome to Melissa, I look forward to seeing you on future visits. Also a quick hi to Crys, Scott and Leslie. I was also glad to see and hear that manning the DJ booth is a guy familiar to the country bar scene, Gary, formerly from Cook County Saloon.
As for how the evening, as it continued to get later and later the bar was getting fuller and fuller. It happened to be ladies night so there were lots of beautiful women at the bar. I also observed at least 2 or 3 bachelorette's and 1 bachelor parties in attendance. At one point a pub crawl arrived to add to the party. Everyone seemed to be having lots of fun and packing the dance floor. Again since I was driving no alchohol for me but when I needed to get a drink I didn't have to wait that long at all. When I finally left that night, it was still fairly early, about 10:45PM but as I left there was a long line up to get in for people ready to party.
Overall I enjoyed my visit to the Ranch Roadhouse and I look forward to the next time I can make it out. This time around I forgot my camera at home, but hopefully next time out I'll have my new camera and a bunch of pictures for everyone to see. |
